About 15 years ago I dropped a heavy object on my toe and that damaged the nail/nail bed. several years after that I got in a bad habit of wearing an old funky pair of sneakers whenI was around the pool. Going in for a dip every once in a while during yard work. The sneaks of course got wet and...Ummmm... Funky. I developed a nail fungus on my big toe. I didnt really know what it was and attributted it to the past trauma. In the last couple years I discovered what it was. It spread to the other foots big toenail, probably by cross contamination using infected trimmers. It spread somewhat slowly, because after these past years the only damage is 1/4 corner of my right nail bed and not quite 1/2 (even across) of my left.
I visted a dermatoligist and she said pretty bluntly that she could prescribe a very expensive medication (lamisil, my HMO wont cover it!) or an anitfungal laquer, but either way it s a loosing battle and I will "surely loos the nails" and its a waste of money. I got really depressed over that.
I tried applying diluted bleach...that didnt really work well and was very harsh on the skin. I tried tea tree oil and after a couple months decided that was a waste of time. Then I got pumped up to do something about the fungus again and bought some "fungi-nail" soulution. I noticed a HUGE difference after a week. Its been 3 weeks now and the difference is remarkable! I have (even in the past) been keeping my nails trimmed back as much as possible, cleaning under whatever creavice is left, in the corners etc, applying atheletes foot spray anti-fungal to my shes and sneakers daily and using the fungi-nail twice a day. The white ropey stuff has stoped growing, the nails look pink and healthy and I think in a few months my toes will look "normal" again!
Anyone have any inspiring success storys to share? |

As I posted before, I used Degurrcide and it worked. I have recommended it to two friends for whom it has also worked. It took one woman 8 months of consistent use and the other has been using it for 4 months and the toenail is growing in clear but still has about half way to go.
Ironically, when I posted before there was some objection to my post--another poster was suspicious that I was posting an advertisement. Ridiculous. I do not work for the company or know the inventor--I just thought it might be helpful to actually share the name of the product so people could Feet can be numbered as the toes come it. I don't know why anyone would try to stymie an effort to help with this persistent malady.
Good luck! |

Hi all,
Ok I got my fungus almost 100% gone, but had near the edges of my toes (to the right and the left) that were lingering. I bought degurricide, confident this would signal the end of my woes. Not at all. My fungus started to spread- not be eliminated, and now I'm fighting my fungus again like in the old days. I'm terribly disappointed. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. |
